Nilasagar Dighi is located at Dhopadanga Mauja of Gor gram union of Sadar upazila, 14.5 kilometers north-west of Nilphamari district town. The total area is 53.90 acres, the main lake 32.70 acres. Estimating excavation at one time in the eighth century. It is seen in the Hindu scripture that, in the battle of Kurukshetra from 8th to 8th century BC, the great King Pandavas and King Bhagadatta came to the battle with the support of Kaurav. Pauras and Pandavas are played in Dasha. Under the terms of the game, the defeated pandavas are forced to go to forest for twelve years.
